Universal health care push visits Torrington -- County Times
"What if quality, affordable health care were a reality for everyone?" Lynne Ide, campaign manager for the Universal Health Care Foundation, asked a crowd gathered at Torrington City Hall Tuesday evening. The foundation was launching a five-city tour of its Healthcare4every1 campaign in the Northwest Corner. The hour-long presentation introduced a system reform proposal that will be made public at a gala event in Hartford Jan. 13 and drew stories from all sides of health care debate.
